IOT started to develop self-contained Cycle Profiling Float, and it was planed to produce some sample floats in 2004.

Prof. Xu Janping and Engineer Zhu Bokang from SIO and Prof. Yu Lizhong from IOT attended the 3th IAST meeting held in IOS, Sidney, Canada (Word version).

Prof. Xu Jianping attended the Forum on Argo Float Deployment and Operation held in Yokosuka, Japan.
