Prof. Xu Jianping, member of the Argo Steering Team and Chief Scientist of the China Argo, together with his colleague Mr. Liu Renqing participated in AST-9 held in Exeter, UK in March 17-20, 2008.
• November 13 to 16, 2007
On behalf of the China Argo Real-time Data Center, Mr. Liu Zenghong, Assistant Research Fellow of the Second Institute of Oceanography, SOA attended the 8th Argo Data Management Meeting hosted by CMAR, CSIRO, Australia in November 13-16, 2007. Mr. Xiang Wenxi, Deputy Director-General and Dr. Ji Fengyin of the National Marine Information Center of China also attended the meeting.

The AST 8 was held in Paris, France in March 7 – 9, 2007. A Chinese Oceanographic Delegation of Five headed by the Director-General, Second Institute of Oceanography, SOA, Mr. Zhang Haisheng attended the meeting. The members of the Chinese delegation are Mr. Peng Yiqi, the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Basic Research, MOST, Dr. Zhou Zhigang, Department of Science and Technology, SOA, and Prof. Xu Jianping and Mr. Zhu Yongling from the Second Institute of Oceanography, SOA.
• November 1 to 3, 2006
The 7th Argo Data Management Meeting was held at National Marine Data and Information Service (NMDIS) of State Oceanic Administration of China, which located in Tianjin. This is the second time for China to hold Argo related meetings. Assistant researcher Liu Zenghong, Master Students Sun Chaohui and Ning Pengfei of the Second Institute Of Oceanography (SOA) attended the meeting.
• October 4 to 7, 2006
The 2nd Argo Delayed-Mode Quality Control Workshop (DMQC-2) was held in Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution from October 4 to 7, 2006. At the invitation of the Co-chair Argo Steering Team, Professor Dean Roemmich, assistant researcher Liu Zenghong of the Second Institute Of Oceanography (SOA) attended the meeting. There were 21 representatives from 8 countries participated the workshop.
• June 14 to 18, 2006
The first Argo Science workshop of China hosted by State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics and Second Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration was held in Hangzhou from June 14 to 18. The 77 scientists and researchers from more than 26 institutions and organizations including 7 academicians presented this meeting.
• March 14 to 18, 2006
Professors Xu Jianping, Xu Dongfeng, and assistant researcher Liu Zenghong were invited to attend the second international Argo science meeting in Venice, Italy. The meeting is also a part of “the meeting of advances in Rada and Altimetry in recent fifteen years”. More than 300 attendances, which came from 30 countries and regimes, attended the meeting. Eight mainland scientists from the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences, Ocean University of China, National Data Center of Ocean Information and the Second Institute of Oceanography has attended the meeting and submitted 5 reports in the meeting.

The Sixth Argo Data Management Meeting was held in Tokyo, Japan. At the invitation of Dr. Takashi Yoshida, Engineer Liu Zeng-hong and Zhu Bo-kang of the Second Institute of Oceanography (SOA) attended the meeting.
• September 19-21, 2005
The APEX User Meeting was held in University of Washington, USA. Prof. Xu Jianping and Engineer Sun Zhaohui of the Second Institute of Oceanography (SOA) participated the meeting.

The first International Argo Delayed-Mode Quality Control Workshop was held in the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in American. Engineer Liu Zenghong of the Second Institute Of Oceanography (SOA) attended the meeting.
• September 29-October 1, 2004
“5th Argo Data Management Meeting” was held in Southampton, British. Engineer Liu Zenghong of the Second Institute Of Oceanography (SOA), Professor Lin Shaohua and Engineer Miao Chunbao of NMDIS, attended the meeting.
• September 5-9, 2004
Three Western Pacific Asian countries (China, Korea and Japan) held “ International Workshop on the application of Argo Data” in Cheju Korea. Invited by KOA, Prof. Xu Jianping and Mr. Tong Mingrong of the Second Institute of Oceanography (SOA) attended the meeting, and they delivered their respective reports “China Argo project and its development” and” Discussion on Improving the Argo Data Real-time/Delayed-mode Quality Control System”. There were 25 scientists in the meeting from three countries. It was decided that the“ Second International Workshop on the application of Argo Data” would be held Sep.-Oct. 2005 in Seoul of Korea. The first Argo Workshop was held in Tokyo, Japan. Prof. Xu Jianping and Xu Dongfeng from SIO, Pan Aijun (OUC), Zhu Jiang and Li Wei (LASG), Zhang Yijun and Xue Huifen (NMDIS), and Yin Yonghong and Niu Tao (CAMS), attended the workshop.

The 5th International Argo Science Team meeting was held in Hangzhou, China, supported and hosted by SOA and conducted by Second institute of Oceanography. There were 54 members joining the meeting from 11 countries. China had 12 representatives in the meeting.

Prof. Xu Jianping (IAST member) and Zhu Wenxu (Nation's Observer) from SOA, participated in the IAST-4 held in Hobart, Australia.
