Abstract: 8400B AUTOSAL Laboratory Salinometer is a high accuracy instrument to determine salinity levels in saline samples by measuring the equivalent conductivity ratio. It’s accuracy is better than ±0.002psu over 24 hours without restandardization. It’s widely used in sea-borne or land base laboratory. It’s high accuracy characteristic is especially manifested in deep ocean investigation and observation. This paper gives a detailed and complete introduction to the instrument’s capability, utilization, operational steps and using skills etc.
