September to October 2016, CARDC deployed 5 profiling floats in the northwestern Pacific Ocean from R/V "KEXUE" (Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences). Four of these floats are APEX floats (two floats using the Argos satellite transmitting system and the other two using Iridium satellite transmission system), the left one is  PROVOR float made by NKE.
