Deployment Cruise-5
China Argo floats deployment cruises :
Oct. 2004, Chinese 21st Antarctic Scientific Exploration Team set out from Shanghai Harbor. On 8-9 Nov., 5 Argo floats were launched into the Indian Ocean from the R/V “Xue Long” passing this area (See table).

These floats are supported by “The Project of Argo Floats Observing the Pacific-Indian Warm Pool” funded from the《Chinese Key International Cooperation Programme》. Before this year, China deployed 2 floats in this area. Up to now, China Argo Project has totally deployed 29 floats in the Pacific and Indian Ocean.
In this cruise, there was 1 COPEX experiment Argo floats deployed in the area 115. 504°E , 10.921°S, which are developed by the Chinese National Ocean Technology Center.
