Information for the AST-20 Meeting

      The twentieth Argo Steering Team meeting will be hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics (SOED) Second Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration, in Hangzhou, China, the week of 11 - 15 March 2019.

      The Argo Steering Team Meeting is a time for the national groups who contribute to international Argo to come together and discuss logistical and technical matters pertaining to the Argo array.

      There will be a BioGeoChemical Argo Steering Team meeting in the afternoon on 11 Monday and in the morning on 12 Tuesday March 2019. A closed session will be held in the morning on 11 Monday.

      The AST executive meeting will be held at 13h00 on 12 March 2019.

      The plenary AST meeting will be held 13 March 2019 through 15 March 2019. The start time will be 9h00 on the 13th.

      SOED was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in July 2006, and was reviewed in December 2009. SOED was established on the existing Laboratory of Ocean Dynamic Processes and Satellite Oceanography (LOPSO), gathering talents of traditional disciplines of physical ocean, marine remote sensing and marine ecological environment at the Second Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration. The founding director of SOED was Dr. CHEN Dake, now an academician member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
