From November 30th to December 21th, 2017, CARDC deployed 2 deep ARVOR floats in the southern Pacific Ocean through the R/V "XUELONG". These 2 floats are purchased from the central large scientific instrument purchase special project -"Real-time ocean autonomous profiling floats observing system" implemented by State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics (SOED). 

It is the first time that China Argo program deploys deep Argo float. These floats are manufactured by NKE Instrumentation, with SEB41CP CTD sensor intalled and maximum profilng depth about 4000 m.
