CARDC started to construct the regional Argo observing array in the South China

September to November 2016, CARDC deployed 10 Argo floats from the R/V "SHIYAN 1" the institute of south China sea, Chinese Academiy of Sciences and the R/V "XIANGYANGHONG 14" of the south China sea branch of State Oceanic Administration .
These floats are funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the key project of "science and technology basic work special fund" - "Argo real-time ocean survey in the western Pacific Ocean".
Shipboard CTD was used to conduct an in-situ comparison between float data and CTD casts. Additionally, the salinometer was also used to analyze seawater salinity.
