China deployed ten Argo floats in Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden

        Ten Argo floats for the special Fund Project for the Scientific Research of the SOA Commonweal Industry, Development and Demonstration of the Numerical Forecasting System for Marine Environment of the Indian Ocean led by National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center were deployed successfully from the navy ship of the 10th screen in the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden in November 12-26, 2011. The Second Institute of Oceanography, SOA participated in the project. Now the data collected by these floats are transmitted through Argos satellite system and shared in real-time through the website of China Argo Real-time Data Center.
