China Argo deployed sixteenth batch Argo floats in the western Pacific Ocean

       On 5-13 December of 2012, 6 APEX Argo floats, belonging to the Second Institute of Oceanography, SOA, were deployed in the western Pacific Ocean from the R/V KeXue YiHao. Among them there were 3 iridium floats with WMO serial number of 2901536, 2901537and 2901538. Up to now China has deployed 153 floats, and there are 84 floats working in good condition. Also, another 6 APEX Argo floats from Washington University of America were deployed by the R/V KeXue YiHao during the same cruise.
